Recognition of Prior Learning Inauguration Day and practitioners training launch

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training at Kisii National Polytechnic, facilitated by the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET), aims to enhance the skills and competencies of individuals based on their previous learning experiences, whether formal or informal. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve workforce readiness and align educational outcomes with industry needs. The institution aims at training over 50 trainers who will be given a LEVEL 2 certificate as RPL practitioners in diverse areas of competence.  The training runs from Monday 3^rd of march to Friday 7^th march 2025.

Objectives of the RPL Program

The RPL program aims to:

• Acknowledge Prior Learning: Recognize and validate the skills and knowledge individuals have gained outside traditional educational settings.
• Enhance Employability: Equip learners with recognized qualifications that improve their job prospects.
• Promote Lifelong Learning: Encourage continuous personal and professional development.
